Yes. Carbon steel hardware in Singapore's coastal-humidity environment will show surface rust within 6 months and structural rust within 12–18 months on an exposed balcony. We carry 304 and 316-grade stainless replacement bolts in the most common sizes (M6, M8, M10). We swap carbon steel for stainless at assembly time — the cost is minimal and the service life improvement is significant.
Can you assemble a 6-seater rattan patio dining set on my condo balcony?
Yes. We regularly assemble outdoor dining sets on condo balconies. We check MCST balcony restrictions before any drilling — most dining table and chair assemblies do not require drilling at all. For a 6-seater set on a standard condo balcony (typically 10–15 sqm), we can complete assembly in 2–3 hours.
The rattan weave on my lounge chairs looks loose at the joints. Is that normal?
PE rattan weave at the arm and leg joints is under tension — the weave compresses in transit and can look loose at the attachment point. We reinforce the joint with 2.5 mm black zip ties hidden inside the weave before final assembly. This is standard practice for budget PE rattan sets and extends service life significantly.
How do I protect outdoor furniture from Singapore's rain and UV?
We apply a UV protectant spray to resin wicker and aluminium frame pieces at assembly — this is not included in our standard service but is available as an add-on. For teak furniture, we apply teak oil at assembly if you supply it. Furniture covers are the most effective long-term protection — we will recommend cover dimensions based on the assembled set.
