How long does a standard queen bed assembly take?
A standard queen or king frame (IKEA MALM, HEMNES, or equivalent Taobao frame) takes 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. A hydraulic storage bed adds another 30–60 minutes because the lift mechanism, gas pistons, and base slats must all be calibrated. Bunk and loft beds take 2–4 hours. If you have a tight move-in window, tell us when booking and we will schedule accordingly.
Do you assemble Taobao beds with Chinese-only instructions?
Yes. Our assemblers have built hundreds of Taobao bed frames — most without needing the manual at all. The bigger issue with Taobao beds is hardware quality: bolts and cam locks occasionally arrive undersized or with stripped threads. We carry a spare hardware kit and will substitute suspect parts. We will flag any structural concerns to you before proceeding.
My HDB bedroom is small. Can two people work in it?
For most 3-room and 4-room HDB bedrooms (roughly 9–12 sqm), one experienced technician is more practical than two. We routinely work in tight BTO rooms. The only situation requiring two technicians is heavy slabs on storage beds or full-panel bunk beds — we will advise you when you send us the product link.
Can you dismantle my old bed before assembling the new one?
Yes, disassembly is a bookable add-on. We can dismantle your existing frame, consolidate the parts, and leave them for you to dispose of, or arrange bulk item disposal for an additional fee. Book both services together to save a trip fee.
What if parts are damaged or missing when we unbox?
We do a full parts count before touching a single bolt. If a structural component (side rail, slat base frame, headboard bracket) is missing or cracked, we pause and advise. We carry spare hardware for generic screws, dowels, and cam locks. For proprietary parts, we help you file a claim or request a replacement from the seller — most Taobao freight forwarders and IKEA Singapore have straightforward replacement processes.
