Can you assemble a treadmill in an HDB flat?
Yes, assembly is straightforward — the frame folds out, console tower is attached, and the running deck is aligned. The more important question is floor loading: a commercial-grade treadmill weighs 120–180 kg and generates significant dynamic load during use. HDB floor capacity is typically 1.5 kN/m². For a standard treadmill used at normal speed (under 12 km/h), the load is within acceptable range. For high-speed running on a heavy machine, we recommend a rubber gym mat to distribute load and reduce vibration transmission to your downstairs neighbours.
How long does power rack assembly take?
A standard 4-post power rack (Sunny Health, Decathlon, or equivalent Lazada/Taobao model) takes 2.5 to 4 hours. The J-hook height must be set correctly before any bolts are torqued — re-adjusting after tightening requires partial disassembly. We also check that the upright bolts are fully torqued to spec, which is critical for a structure carrying hundreds of kilograms of barbell weight.
Do you anchor a power rack to the floor?
Most residential power racks do not require floor anchoring if the weight of the rack plus loaded plates keeps the centre of gravity stable. However, for racks in carpet or on rubber gym tiles, we recommend floor anchoring — the rack can walk forward during bench press without it. We use M10 Rawl bolts into the concrete slab beneath the tiles or carpet.
My NordicTrack treadmill has a iFit console that needs Wi-Fi setup. Is that part of the service?
We handle the mechanical assembly — frame, running deck, console tower, and cable routing. The iFit account setup and Wi-Fi pairing are software steps you can complete after assembly. We power on the machine and confirm the console starts correctly before we leave.
