Can you replace my old ceiling light with a new pendant or chandelier?
Yes, as a direct like-for-like replacement — connecting the new fixture to the existing ceiling rose wiring. We do not add new wiring, new switch circuits, or new MCB breakers. If your new fixture requires a different mounting point or a new circuit, that is licensed electrical work and you will need an electrician.
Can you install a ceiling fan with an integrated light?
Yes. Ceiling fan installation is one of our most common jobs in Singapore, especially in HDB bedrooms and living rooms. We mount the fan canopy to the concrete ceiling using rated ceiling hooks, connect the existing live-neutral-earth wiring, and balance the fan blades. Most installations take 45–60 minutes.
My pendant light needs to hang at a specific height. Can you adjust the wire length?
Yes. Pendant lights with wire, rod, or chain suspension can be adjusted to your preferred drop height. We confirm the height with you before securing the canopy cover. For very high ceilings (common in landed and shophouse properties), we bring an extension ladder.
What if my existing ceiling rose has only two wires (no earth)?
Older HDB and resale flat wiring sometimes has two-wire installation (live and neutral only, no earth). Most modern fixtures require three wires for safety compliance. We will assess on-site and advise. For fixtures that require earth connection in older flats, an electrician is needed to add the earth wire — we can refer one.
